Dr Caitlin Ellis

Stipendiary Lecturer in Medieval History

After attending my local comprehensive secondary school, I studied a BA Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Gonville and Caius College, University of Cambridge. I completed an MPhil (researching contact between mainland Pictland and Scandinavia) and a fully-funded PhD (entitled 'The Identity and International Relations of Orkney and Dublin in the Long Eleventh Century') in the same department. While in Cambridge I taught for the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic extensively and for the Faculty of History. I have also taught at the University of East Anglia as Associate Tutor in Medieval History.
